Day 1 in Venice

Venice is incredibly beautiful!! I would send you photos but the cable is in the suitcase which is in the London airport or someplace between here and there. Guess who packed an extra set of clothes in HER backpack? And a toothbrush. Guess who is sick of his clothes after 36 hours of wearing them? OK, we could buy deodorant, a toothbrush, a razor....but we keep thinking it will all arrive any minute. Meanwhile the stubble grows, the teeth decay, the body smells. But we've eaten the most wonderful lasagne ever in our lives. And seen incredible baroque, gothic, and other architecture and eaten four kinds of gelato. Buono!
